Kazuya Takajo/Sho Sakurai/ARASHI was a promising soccer player. At the age of 23, he was selected for the national A football team and he bought a house to live with his fiancé Miki Nakagawa/Masami Nagasawa. One day, Kazuya Takajo gets into a car accident and becomes paralyzed. He must now spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. He falls into deep despair. At that time, Miki shows him their marriage certificate.

Kazuya goes through rehab on the strength of his wife's love. Yet, he becomes frustrated by those opposed to his marriage with Miki and others who give him pity looks. He also can't find anything to replace soccer in his life. Kazuya then witnesses a wheelchair basketball game at a gym.

Based on the true story of Kazuyuki Kyoya.

34-year-old Hayako Tatsuki/Nao Matsushita is single and a teacher in charge of a first grade class at Heiwa-cho Elementary School on the outskirts of Tokyo. She lives with her parents Tatsushi/Isao Bito and Naoko/Keiko Matsuzaka who run a tofu shop. Hayako has a fulfilling life as a teacher. She is adored by her students and has also established good relationships with fellow teachers Mika Kugayama, Umeko Narimasu and Rentaro Sendagi. Mika, Umeko and Rentaro are all single. Among them, Mika has a strong desire to get married and seems to take an active part in searching for a marriage partner, but she has never asked herself why she wants to marry so badly. That said, Hayako herself unexpectedly feels loneliness in the course of her daily life without any particular reason. She is not concerned about marriage even though she wants to marry the person she loves some day. That is until her father collapses and is hospitalised one day. His life is not in danger, Hayako suggests that her parents close their tofu shop. But the next morning, she sees her mother fumbling with the preparation of the tofu alone in the shop. Seeing the commitment and strong bonds of her parents, who have been together for a long time, through her own eyes, Hayako finally starts to consider marriage seriously. She forms a “matchmaking alliance” with Mika, Umeko and Rentaro. Although they cannot get accustomed to things such as matchmaking parties, premonition of romance with someone younger, they take the first step towards marriage.

Kokko is a curious child, and whenever she learns a new word, she jots it down in her cherished notebook with a grotesque closeup photo of an ant on the cover. After learning that her mother is pregnant again and not exactly being thrilled by the news Kokko’s grandfather teaches her and her best friend Possan a new English word “imagine”.

Takuya Kimura will play the protagonist “Hisashi Ieji”. As for the drama, it’s a live-adaptation of Kei Ishizaka’s award winning manga of the same name, which was serialized on “Big Comic Original” during 1997 ~ 1998. In the series, five years have passed since Ieji married his weife “Megumi”. He has a son with her, but since an accident, his mind becomes foggy. He becomes unable to read their faces and emotions, and it’s like they’re wearing masks. He ends up feeling distressed and like he doesn’t love them. On the other hand, memories of his former wife and daughter, who he left five years ago, begin to resurface.
