The lecherous wolf men are so afraid of females that they have developed a code which requires them to kill baby girls soon after they are born. But only the lovely Beniko Akatsuki survives this terrible fate. Beniko fights endless battles against the wolf men. Her mother was ruthlessly raped by a wolf man, and gave birth to her. To save her baby girl, Beniko's mother had to sacrifice her own life. Now, Beniko wears a memento of her beloved mother, a red riding hood, and she has dedicated her life to killing all the wolf men. One day, Beniko senses that the evil wolf men are sneaking into a high school. The clever Beniko pretends she is a school girl and starts attending school, only to find vicious, horny pack of female-deprived wolf men. Beniko protects her fellow school girls as she fights them off with her sword and her red riding hood.

Tsubaki Sanjuro *Yuji Oda EN Subtitled ~Reuploaded 4/12/16

Yuji Oda, one of the top stars in Japan, has a lot of fun playing the scruffy master-less samurai who calls himself Tsubaki Sanjuro (the thirty-year- old Camelia). He's rude and cynical and domineering, but still willing to help the innocent-but- hopeless young samurai rescue their chamberlain from a group of corrupt officials. There's a lot of bloodless sword action, though the sound effects are pretty descriptive. Director Yoshimitsu Morita gives the film a light touch, and it flows by quickly, which is perfect for this generation.

Miyamoto Musashi SP *Takuya Kimura EN Subtitled

Musashi Miyamoto/Takuya Kimura left his village and ended up fighting in the battle of Sekigahara with his childhood friend Matahachi/Yusuke Santamaria, but looses Matahachi on the way. He returns to the village to inform Matahachi's family about what had happened. At the village, he is persecuted by the villagers. Musashi becomes worn down physically and mentally. Otsu/Yoko Maki plays her bamboo flute and sooths his pain and gives him hope. Soho Takuan appears in front of Musashi. He then rebuilds his life with his sword. He begins to journey for truth throughout Japan, and relies solely in his sword fighting skills. He meets many masters of the sword and grows as a notable person. In the end, developing his Niten-ryu style.

Based on the novel "Miyamoto Musashi" by Eiji Yoshikawa (published from August 23, 1935 to July 11, 1939 in Asahi Shimbun).

Seirei no Moribito ~Live Action *Haruka Ayase

Haruka Ayase will be starring in the 2016 NHK Taiga fantasy drama "Seirei no Moribito" (The Guardian of Spirits) as announced during the press conference held on 28 July. The drama is based on a 10-volume fantasy novel by Uehashi Nahoko published in 1996 which had sold 3.7 million copies to date and will be shot entirely in 4K format. In conjunction with NHK's 90th anniversary, this drama will be shown over 22 episodes in three years starting from spring 2016. Ayase plays the role of Barusa, a lonely female bodyguard who co-exists with spirits and embarks on an adventure with the prince Chagumu in this drama. She remarked during the press conference that she is very happy to work with NHK again after their collaboration in "Yae no Sakura" although she also admitted about being worried over the longer O.A. period this time. Although there will be many action scenes in this fantasy drama, she also hopes to show the human side of things in the story to the viewers.

His directorial work includes such films as the groundbreaking Tokyo Gore Police and the zombie epic Helldriver. The Ninja War of Torakage marks a new path for Nishimura, as he blends the popular Japanese ninja genre with his kinetic, visually driven style of filmmaking. The movie stars Takashi Miike regular Takumi Saito (13 Assassins, Ace Attorney) as Torakage, with cult-actress Eihi Shiina (The Audition, Tokyo Gore Police) as Torakage’s evil master.

Ichi/Ken Matsudaira returns to the home village after 20 years to see his foster mother/Tamao Nakamura. The village has been divided in two opposing groups because of the conflict for the mining rights of granite and the newly opened gambling hall is escalating the conflict. The stormy tale begins when Ichi and the bodyguard Hirata/Makiya Yamaguchi of the gambling hall encounter each other. 35th anniversary of his becoming an entertainer Ken Matsudaira chose to honor his mentor, the legendary superstar Shintaro Katsu by portraying Zato Ichi, the Blind Swordsman in a play based on the original film on the same stage that Katsu had played the role 40 years before in a stage presentation. Not pleased with the direction that Zato Ichi’s image had been taken in some productions, he has breathed new life into the character by following the image that Shintaro Katsu had created for his signature role. Adding authenticity, the cast included both Katsu’s widow Tamao Nakamura and their son Ryutaro Gan. Coupled with a terrific performance by Yamaguchi Makiya as the tubercular master swordsman Hirata, this major event for fans of Zato Ichi is not to be missed! As a note, all sword action by Ken Matsudaira was performed with his eyes closed, just as Shintaro Katsu would have wanted!

An excellent series following the exploits of Kunoichi (female ninja) Orin. There are also close comparisons with the Lone Wolf and Cub story. The series is tense and violent throughout and well worth a watch, like Lone Wolf, the odds are often stacked well against Orin.
