Kotaro Mochizuki/Haruma Miura is a mild-mannered, weakly high school student. One day, he visits a library and meets the mysterious librarian Himiko/Mimura, who recommends Kotaro to read an ancient book about a heroic general from the Sengoku period (400 years ago). Kotaro notices that he has the same name, and is the same age as the general described in the book. He experiences a "Out of this world" flashback, which transforms him to the general from the past. Kotaro later mentions the book to his father, who tells him that he may be the descendant of a powerful Samurai clan. At that moment, Kotaro receives a message from his childhood friend Ai/Anne Watanabe telling him that their classmate Tsuyoshi Nakamura/Yu Shirota is in trouble. He rushes to the scene but doesn't have the courage to help, until "The Flashback" transforms him into "the samurai general" from the past.

Tsukasa Dōmyōji /Jun Matsumoto and Tsukushi Makino/Mao Inoue are driving through Nevada. Weeks prior, Tsukasa announced to the world that he was engaged to Tsukushi. He released an embarrassing picture of her eating noodles, angering her. As a result of the announcement, Tsukushi's family become targets of media attention.

Soon after, Tsukushi’s parents formally met with Kaede Dōmyōji/Mariko Kaga, Tsukasa’s mother, to discuss the wedding. Kaede presented Tsukushi with a tiara which grants endless love to the owner and her partner. At the Hotel Volver, the couple are about to kiss when a man crashes through the window and seizes the tiara. Tsukasa pursues the thief with Tsukushi far behind, but the thief manages to escape. Tsukushi and Tsukasa return to their room, where they notice that the window has been fixed. The staff claim they heard no disturbance, even though Tsukasa and the thief have created chaos throughout the hotel. After some investigation, Tsukasa's secretary Nishida/David Ito informs him that the thief may be in Las Vegas. Tsukasa and Tsukushi secretly plan to go there.

Salesman Kosuke Okuda/Jun Matsumoto leads a boring, normal life, with no girl-friend or happily ever after in sight. The last thing he expects is to run into Mao Watarai/Juri Ueno, a friend from his junior high school days, at a work meeting. As it turns out, Kosuke and Mao have a history together: she was the misfit new girl, awkward and slow, and he was the guy who stood up for her whenever she was bullied. Almost ten years later, they finally have the chance to fall in love. But, just as they're blissfully settling into their new lives together, they start to feel the consequences of a fateful decision made by Mao many years ago.

There's a twist to this love story - one by which viewers might be puzzled, amused, fascinated or repulsed, occasionally at the same time. The revelation shouldn't really come as a big shock; in fact, clues to its nature are so obviously scattered throughout (there's a big clue in Mao's name) that it can sometimes feel as if the film takes an unnecessarily long time to get to its point. But it's so odd and fantastical that audience members might find themselves fretting over the metaphysics, biology and logic of the situation rather than really giving in to the love story.

He works hard there as a construction worker, he turns 24; and he still doesn't have a girlfriend. Meanwhile, a school friend informs Hiroshi that he is going to get married to an AV actress. Hiroshi remembers a promise that they made. Hiroshi is even more impatient to find a girlfriend. One of the first girls that he falls in love with is beautiful Yumi/Mikie Hara, but he is dropped. Tsuki ni Iku Fune (The boat that goes to the moon) was aired on October 4th, and staring leads Emi Wakui and Shosuke Tanihara, by the scriptwriter Eriko Kitagawa. Wakui plays the role of a blind woman who accidentally meets a magazine editor (Tanihara) at a small train station located in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture and romance blossoms between them.

Wakui who has never acted in a Kitagawa drama before, admitted that she felt someone younger than her might be more suitable for the role, but decided to take the risk by accepting. Tanihara, commented that through his role, he felt that it was an important thing to treasure the feeling of being in love and caring for the person you love.
