Kotaro Mochizuki/Haruma Miura is a mild-mannered, weakly high school student. One day, he visits a library and meets the mysterious librarian Himiko/Mimura, who recommends Kotaro to read an ancient book about a heroic general from the Sengoku period (400 years ago). Kotaro notices that he has the same name, and is the same age as the general described in the book. He experiences a "Out of this world" flashback, which transforms him to the general from the past. Kotaro later mentions the book to his father, who tells him that he may be the descendant of a powerful Samurai clan. At that moment, Kotaro receives a message from his childhood friend Ai/Anne Watanabe telling him that their classmate Tsuyoshi Nakamura/Yu Shirota is in trouble. He rushes to the scene but doesn't have the courage to help, until "The Flashback" transforms him into "the samurai general" from the past.
