Hiroshi Tanaka/Shota Matsuda sports an intense perm which looks like the afro hairstyle favored by some African-Americans back in the 1970's. He doesn't get his hair done at a hair salon, he was actually born with his unique hair-style. Hiroshi moves to Tokyo to become independant. He works hard there as a construction worker, he turns 24; and he still doesn't have a girlfriend. Meanwhile, a school friend informs Hiroshi that he is going to get married to an AV actress. Hiroshi remembers a promise that they made. Hiroshi is even more impatient to find a girlfriend. One of the first girls that he falls in love with is beautiful Yumi/Mikie Hara, but he is dropped. The next girl, named Aya Kato/Nozomi Sasaki then moves into the neighborhood (the apartment unit next door).
