In ancient Rome, bathhouse architect Lucius/Hiroshi Abe becomes famous with designing the original "thermae" (bathhouse). He receives an order to build a thermae in the coliseum to help gladiators recover from their wounds, but faces difficulties. Thus, Lucius travels again to modern day Japan through the time slip. He meets Manami/Aya Ueto again, who is now a reporter for a magazine which covers bathroom and décor. With the help of the flat face Japanese tribe (Lucius calls the Japanese race), Lucius again designs a new thermae. Meanwhile, Emperor Hadrian/Masachika Ichimura wants to keep the peace with the thermae, but the Senate wants to extend the land by using force. Emperor Hadrian and the Senate now have a confrontation and Rome becomes divided.

Film notes: Filming began April 6, 2013. Shooting will take place at Nu Boyana Film Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria, Cinecittà film studio in Rome, Italy, and a hot spring in Japan. "Thermae Romae II" is thought to be the first Japanese film to shoot in Bulgaria. An estimated 5,000 foreign extras are participating in the filming of "Thermae Romae II" in Bulgaria.

Tsuki ni Iku Fune (The boat that goes to the moon) was aired on October 4th, and staring leads Emi Wakui and Shosuke Tanihara, by the scriptwriter Eriko Kitagawa. Wakui plays the role of a blind woman who accidentally meets a magazine editor (Tanihara) at a small train station located in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture and romance blossoms between them.

Wakui who has never acted in a Kitagawa drama before, admitted that she felt someone younger than her might be more suitable for the role, but decided to take the risk by accepting. Tanihara, commented that through his role, he felt that it was an important thing to treasure the feeling of being in love and caring for the person you love.

40-year-old Mori Takeru/Ozawa Yukiyoshi works Kuraki Medical Hospital. He has set his sights on being a top class doctor; and believes he's reasonably hot. One day, the owner of the medical centre, Kuraki, collapses. He is no longer able to manage the hospital, his younger brother, Kuraki Hiromasa/Osugi Ren, assumes his position. Then, Mori is summoned by the new hospital director and hears the words, he never imagined. “Change the hospital. Create a nurse aide training course here. I will cultivate professional nurse aides.” Mori cannot believe his ears. A nurse aide is an odd job role. A job that even an ordinary person can do since it does not require qualifications. He protests, “If you talk of establishing a vocational school for nurses licensed by the national government as well as assistant nurses licensed by the local prefectural government, I can still understand that … …” That is when Kuraki orders him, “You should formally learn the work of a nursing aide as a person at the top.” “I’m a doctor!” Mori reminds Kuraki. But Kuraki’s response is, “I will change the hospital.” The nurse aide training course is launched at the hospital. With no way to disobey Kuraki, Mori is forced to go for the training despite his reluctance. One of the medical centre’s nurses, Hayashi Kotomi/Kuriyama Chiaki, is ordered to be a full-time instructor for the course. She refuses, complaining that it will cause an inconvenience when the hospital is facing a shortage of nurses and the nurses are completely exhausted every day.
