Pediatric surgeon Saijo Mikoto/Saito Takumi had repeated occurrences of metastasis because of liver cancer five years ago. Nothing could be done about his situation. He became a clinical trial patient of the most advanced treatment in America and miraculously escaped death. He comes back to Japan after five years although there is the risk of a relapse and starts work at Kera General Hospital. But the pediatric doctors including Miyoshi Masayasu/Kamiji Yusuke are worn out because of the exhausting work and many lawsuits. Saijo worries about the doctor Oda Reiko/Saito Yuki who extremely detests risks and handles her duties meticulously.
